Antoine-Augustin Parmentier had a variety of different haircuts during his career. He was widely celebrated as an outstanding botanist, pharmacist, physician, agronomist and nutritionist. Nevertheless, the promoter of the potato as a food source for humans in France and throughout Europe was mostly known for his unusual fashion sense and his pleasant character. Before his tragic demise at the age of 76 he was often featured in tabloids due to his fine haircuts.
