Marie-Anne Gaboury had various haircuts during her lifetime. She became famous as a great explorer. Nevertheless, the grandmother of Louis Riel, and the first woman of European descent to travel to and settle in what is now Western Canada was mainly known for her incomparable looks and her delightful character. Before her passing at the age of 95 she was repeatedly talked about in tabloids because of her marvelous hairstyles.
