Shizuo Kakutani had many different haircuts during his lifetime. He reached fame as an excellent mathematician and university teacher. Nevertheless, the Japanese mathematician was specially known for his incomparable fashion sense and his pleasant personality. Before his tragic demise at the age of 93 he was frequently talked about in tabloids because of his superb hair and looks.
