Simon Schwendener had a variety of different haircuts during his career. He became famous as a talented botanist, lichenologist, university teacher and writer. Nevertheless, the Swiss botanist was particularly known for his unique fashion sense and his adorable character. Before his tragic death at the age of 90 he was again and again featured in magazines and tabloids because of his outstanding hairstyles.
